The story of Albini 1876 can be told through many dates, or through seven fabrics that, more than any document, bear witness to the evolution of style, research and textile culture over the past 150 years.
In the year of its 150th anniversary, Albini 1876 chooses to celebrate its history through what best represents it: the fabrics that have left a mark.
This is how The Legacy Series was born: a collection of fabrics that spans generations, archives and stylistic trends, reinterpreted in the symbolic colour of the celebrations: Legacy Red, the exclusive shade developed together with the Pantone Color Institute™.
In The Legacy Series, each fabric tells the story of an achievement, an intuition, a moment in which research opened up a new path. Together, they compose a story that never stops evolving, fabric after fabric.

Legacy Red thus becomes the thread that connects seven extraordinary fabrics, each one expressing a significant moment in the evolution of Albini 1876.
AMALFI – 1978
With Amalfi, a new idea of poplin takes shape, together with a creative language that expresses a renewed freedom of style. Its colourful stripes and checks have accompanied the evolution of trends over time.
RANCH – 1992
Ranch reinterprets flannel through the distinctive lens of Albini 1876. The introduction of twisted yarns marks a major step forward in quality, the brushing enhances its softness, while colour defines its character.
SAHARA – 1992
Sahara marks Albini 1876’s entry into pure linen. Distinguished by the richness of its colours and designs, it has become over time one of the most iconic linens in the collection.
DUKE – 1993
Still today, Duke remains a benchmark in classic shirting with an international spirit. Made from two-ply yarns, it combines quality with an elegance inspired by the world of nobility.
PIUMINO – 2008
Piumino was born from the desire to create something unprecedented. By pushing textile technology to its limits, an exceptionally fine fabric in 100/1 yarn takes shape, with a compact construction that enhances both colour and the definition of its designs.
APRÈS-SKI – 2020
Après-ski evolves traditional flannel by combining cotton and TENCEL™, creating a soft, enveloping hand. Brushed on both sides, it offers a pleasant touch and comfort on the skin.
CENTOCINQUANTA – 2026
Centocinquanta was created as an expression of the excellence achieved over 150 years of Albini 1876. By pushing weaving to its limits, a fabric with 150 threads per centimetre takes shape, made from extremely fine 150/1 yarns: compact, yet light and silky at the same time.
To mark its 150th anniversary, Albini 1876 presents Legacy Red, an exclusive colour created in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute™.
In 2026, Albini 1876 celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 150 years of textile excellence.
