Autumn Winter 2025-26
Going beyond reality, in a meeting of artificial intelligence and Surrealism.
The new Autumn/Winter 2025-2026 collection by Albini 1876, titled Beyond Reality, is an invitation to challenge convention, explore new frontiers and change one’s vision of the world, interconnecting imagination and reality. The three themes of the collection are presented by combining the work of three Surrealist artists and artificial intelligence, through “AI generated” images which embody the essence of the brand’s creative research and which open the door to imaginary worlds.
Business & Leisure
The “Bleisure” trend also takes root in the world of fashion. Comfortable stretch fabrics, which nonetheless uphold the hand feel of cotton as a raw material, are ideal for the creation of garments which perfectly dovetail with dynamic, on-the-go lifestyles. This theme has been associated with Maurits Cornelis Escher, an artist whose approach to Surrealist-illusionist images has given rise to views and spaces in which textures and patterns overlap, distort and expand. His images also reference the dynamic aspect of fabrics thanks to the staircase, his trademark element.
Luxury Lodge
A winter getaway in a luxury chalet, a place to return after a day spent out in the snow. This was the departure point which inspired the selection of warm, soft fabrics in the collection, ideal for garments which convey a connection with outdoor mountain activities. Using AI to associate the fabrics in the Luxury Lodge theme to the work of René Magritte, an image arose which embodies the artist’s characteristic oneiric illusions and references the feel of a dream, escape, and interconnection between internal and external landscapes. It’s imagery which surrounds and engages, just like the enveloping natural fabric in the collection.
Social Gen
Gen Z lifestyles inspired the Social Gen theme, giving rise to textiles which are ideal for the creation of garments to wear during free time, dedicated to personal hobbies, such as music, art and sport. It’s a mix of intellectualism and a social attitude which leads to the rediscovery of more authentic textiles such as canvas, oxford and gabardine, for garments with new, more ample proportions. The encounter between AI and the work of Giorgio De Chirico has produced an image which embodies the metaphysical spaces of the artist, mixed with the surprising effects of Gen Z vibes.
